About the fund:
The Yondr Scholarship has been established to support talented local students pursuing studies in STEM subjects at UK universities. Recognising the importance of investing in future talent for the data center industry, the programme is designed to cover living costs over a three-year period, enabling recipients to focus fully on their academic and personal development.

The scholarship forms part of Yondr’s broader commitment to skills development and supporting the communities they operate in. By offering targeted financial support, the Yondr Scholarship aims to help create accessible pathways into higher education and the technology sector for local young people.

What’s on offer?

💰 £27,000 total funding: Paid in instalments to cover living expenses for 3- 4 years.
🤝 Additional Support: Selected scholars are likely to have access to mentorship, internship opportunities, and exclusive events throughout their studies

Requirements:

  • Are about to undertake a 3–4 year STEM degree, with preference given to courses aligned with the built environment and infrastructure sectors (including Engineering, Computer Science, Construction, Property, Mathematics, Economics, or Finance).
  • Are eligible to pay UK domestic tuition fees
  • Are from a lower socioeconomic background (as defined by the Social Mobility Commission)
  • Any applicants living near postcode SL25EA will be given special consideration (Slough and surrounding areas)
  • Students who will be attending UTC Reading and Heathrow will be given priority as well as any female applicants
