About the fund

This fund is designed to provide short-term assistance for those financially impacted by the recent student finance decision regarding weekend studies.
This fund is not able to replace maintenance loans or other types of funding but to contribute towards eligible immediate emergencies.

Criteria:

To apply, you must be a weekend only student whose ability to access maintenance support from student finance has recently been affected by your pattern of study.

Be able to demonstrate a financial emergency due to a change in ability to receive a maintenance loan with supporting evidence.

Students must be fully enrolled on within their course start and end date for the academic year they are applying in. Students completing referral work outside of these dates can apply if granted an official end date extension.

Awarding Amount: The maximum amount available per student is capped at £500.00, and students can only be awarded once per academic year. Please note, there is no guarantee of an award and assessments are made on a case-by-case basis.
