The Scholarship:

We are passionate about creating brilliant, diverse, and inclusive workforces. And yet, we recognise that our industry, Technology, still struggles with representation in a variety of ways. So, this scholarship is designed to remove barriers for students from underrepresented communities in tech. We will be offering one £3,000 scholarship for the upcoming academic year.

Not only will our selected scholar receive the funding, but we will also provide mentorship across the academic year, and are hoping to provide opportunities for work experience and networking within the technology sector.

Requirements:

Our scholarship is here to support individuals from underrepresented communities in tech. As such, applicants must be:

  • Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or any other related undergraduate degree
  • Studying at a UK university
  • Paying domestic UK tuition fees
  • From an underrepresented community in Tech, including any circumstance included in the list below:
    • You describe yourself as a woman or non-binary
    • You describe yourself as part of a racial or ethnic minority community
    • You come from a low-income background or a low social-economic background (as defined by the Social Mobility Commission)
    • You describe yourself as LGBTQIA+
    • You describe yourself as having a neurodiversity or disability
    • You come from any other minority background


Timelines:

  • Applications open: 31 March 2025
  • Applications close: 23 May 2025
  • Shortlist notified: Week commencing 7 July 2025
  • Final winners selected: Week commencing 28 July 2025

That’s why we are creating two scholarships to support students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds to get through their studies and into the world of work.
