About the fund

The main purpose of the International Hardship Fund (IHF) is to provide discretionary
financial assistance to full time non-UK students registered at the University of Kent who
are being charged tuition fees at the ‘overseas’ or ‘EU’ rate.
The IHF can provide up to £1,000 financial support per year to students who are
experiencing unexpected or unavoidable financial hardship, in order to enable them to
successfully complete their studies.
The fund cannot be used to meet the cost of tuition fees.
