About the fund

Goldsmiths understands that certain students may face particular challenges due to increased living costs including students with experience of the care system, disabled students and those with health conditions, students with caring responsibilities and international students who do not have recourse to public funds. Students living at home (commuter students) may also experience financial challenges relating to travel, especially those in receipt of SFE funding as they receive lower maintenance grants.

Bursaries are open to all undergraduate, postgraduate and postgraduate research students enrolled for study in 2022-23. Students can apply for any of the bursaries, depending on their needs.

Purpose:
◼ To support students to meet the additional cost of energy bills (but not covering energy bills in full)
◼ To provide a Bursary of up to £400, depending on student’s arrangements for paying energy bills within their household
◼ To be paid to a student in monthly payments across the academic year or as a one-off payment if the student prefers and requests for one payment.
