About the fund

The Student Opportunities Fund offers small, non-repayable grants to BSU students seeking to fund a project or activity that will improve their career opportunities and enhance their employability.

Individual students may apply for up to £250. If you apply as a group of students, you may request up to £500.

Retrospective applications are not accepted. Students must apply BEFORE the activity takes place in order for their application to be considered.

Activity or projects that involve travel abroad are not eligible for the Student Opportunities Fund.

Please make sure you refer to the Application Guidance provided to assist you with completing this application. You should also ensure you have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions. This is a competitive scheme with limited funds available, therefore, not all applications will be successful. We strongly recommend students do not commit to the activity/project unless they have the financial means to support it.
