About the fund

The Bath Spa University Access Fund provides limited discretionary financial support for full-time students who are unable to meet basic costs from other sources of support.

This fund is for undergraduate students receiving a means-tested maintenance loan, and postgraduate students receiving student finance and who have additional income to meet the cost of study but who still may need financial help.

**This fund can only support students who started their studies at Bath Spa University prior to September 2025 or who started their studies from September 2025 onwards and are studying in Bath, at Bath Spa London – Hackney or Bath Spa London – Canary Wharf.**

As Bath Spa University has multiple intakes throughout the year the fund will be open outside the times that applications from your cohort may be accepted:

All eligible students can apply from six weeks after their start date for the academic year,

For continuing students - the fund will close seven and a half months after their academic year began

For final year students - the fund will close seven months after their academic year began.

The fund will close completely on 10th July (or earlier if funds are exhausted) to allow applications to be processed before the end of our financial year.

The fund will reopen for eligible students in August.
