It’s time to put money back at the forefront of the conversation and spend a week prioritising your finances - NASMA’s National Student Money Week 2024 (NSMW ’24) is here and with it, an exciting Blackbullion competition to boost your financial wellbeing, and, perhaps, your bank account too!

‘Risk’ learning competition to celebrate NSMW ’24

This year it’s all about ‘less risk, more reward’. To help you maintain your financial wellbeing at university and college we’ve launched a new ‘Risk’ learning pathway on the Blackbullion website to help you wrap your head around all types of financial risks. 💸

Everyone who completes the learning during the campaign period (4-15 March) and collects the NSMW 2024 badge will be entered into a prize competition to win £500 towards helping them build an emergency fund. (T&Cs apply)

We encourage you to spend 10 minutes to learn more about managing financial risks and to be better prepared for any situation in these uncertain times. And get a chance to win some extra cash too!

How to enter our competition:

  1. Log in to Blackbullion, or register for a (free) account

  2. Complete the ‘Risk’ pathway and collect your NSMW 2024 badge

  3. That’s it - earning the badge will enter you into a prize draw for £500

As well as entering the prize draw, you’ll also get useful tips and information on how to tackle financial risks and how to minimise their impact on your finances!

What are we offering as a prize?

£500 cash to help kickstart your emergency savings fund.

(T&Cs apply)

Where can I keep up with NSMW?

We’ll be posting every day on Instagram, giving you practical tips and guidance to improve your financial wellbeing.

What is National Student Money Week?

National Student Money Week (NSMW) takes place every February/March and is the UK’s biggest money awareness week for students.

University is often the first time you’re responsible for large sums of money and have to manage your finances by yourself. And we know firsthand that this can cause a lot of uncertainty, questions and challenges.

Will my money last till the next loan instalment? What should I be focusing on with my money? Am I doing ok?

NSMW brings these challenges to the surface, providing a platform to address them and help you feel confident and comfortable managing your finances.

This year, National Student Money Week runs from the 4-8 March 2024. However, our competition will run from the 4-15 March 2024 (NSMW + 1 extra week).
