The University, established in 1823, is renowned for its innovative and forward thinking attitude to teaching, student support and widening access.

Already tackling the alarming lack of financial capability amongst the 600,000 students within their community, Blackbullion’s learning platform will shortly be made available to Liverpool John Moores University’s 24,000 strong student body. In addition to current LJMU students, it will also be accessible to prospective students and their parents, through the University’s Student Advice and Wellbeing department.

Liverpool John Moores University on partnering with Blackbullion

“I’ve watched Blackbullion develop from its early days and have been impressed by the impact their services and support has had on students across UK campuses” said Lynne Condell MBE, Manager, Student Money Advice. “I am excited that LJMU is joining Blackbullion’s growing community and know that this will enhance the package of support we offer our students. We know that by improving their skills and financial capability they can focus on their studies and will develop skills they need to succeed during their studies and after graduation.”

Liverpool John Moores University’s students will gain free access to Blackbullion’s interactive learning content that is designed to develop students’ understanding of savings, budgeting, debt management, as well as university specific subjects, such as student funding, and university living costs.

Blackbullion has a positive impact on the financial resilience and overall wellbeing of students by raising their financial confidence, knowledge, and skills of students.

Blackbullion’s learning platform will also equip Student Services with proprietary reporting and an analytics tool to enhance the student support provided.
